This pastorale on RESIGNATION works both as an introduction to the Easter hymn “My Shepherd, You Supply My Need” or as a solo piece. Shepherd’s flutes in echo grounded on the pedal drone paint the bucolic picture for this musical setting of Psalm 23. I dedicated it to my young cousin Teresa Marinho Perlingeiro on her first birthday, which this year (2020) happened in the week leading up to Good Shepherd Sunday, the Fourth Sunday of Easter.
